I Have been pretty lazy in posting something new , but i tried many new things ! , i pen and inked a collection of leaves inspired by the sea creatures and i tried my hand with appearances in illustrator , but that’s another story… i will post those later i guess. For now i have another sketch for you this is a set of swatches which i created while playing with few circular shapes. 4 color options of this pattern are included.
The swatches file is in CS4 im not sure if it works with the previous versions so i have also included in the download eps file , browse to swatches panel after you open eps file .Below is a preview and the details of download.

My dad just returned from a trip to Tashkand , yesterday i was going through his very interesting trip’s photos . This city in rich in its architectural content one particular photo that captured my attention was the architectural of a gate.crafted during Amir Taimour Era.
The just look at the awesomeness of the intricate detail of carvings and the placing of the niches.
i have always been fascinated by arches and niches these are somehow a perfect artistic form and evolves into different forms and shapes if you just look at it deeply. I created a vector experiment starting from a blob and then formed different niches and arches finally the vector work was taken into photoshop and textured. Below is the vector rendering (which you can download as part of 100 sketches series till available) this is followed by my finished textured artwork.

2 years back i posted a series of 100 illustrations in 30 days , i had lots and lots of time free in my hand i guess! [private]Couple of days back i was asked by a friend of mine to create a custom birthday invite for her 1 years old daughter , and that she has searched high and lo for a birthday invite Theme on an Asian dol . Well it really was a fun project after a long time. Not usual custom illustration for me this time. I was free to create a fun looking design . And with the design she also wanted me to design cupcake toppers within the same theme! . This was my sort of a first themed birthday party prject LOL:) .

These pictures were taken around a year back while i was exploring some surfaces so this is a little mix up of this and that which i have just uploaded for free download and also for commercial use if needed.

[private]Creating Images for kids has always been fun for me , Recently i was involved in creating series of illustrations specifially for little boys related invites and such.
During this time i was looking for a good set of swatches which i can use right away to achieve my requirement but was unable to find any . So i thought i will share this pattern & swatches set with you just in case you are also looking for something similar.

Today i set myself a task of creating cute little adorable vectors which can be used in different kind of projects . Creation of these was possible with input of my two little sons who helped me fill the colors up. I selected the swatches palette of kids and once told them how to use paint bucket tool and incredibly they were off to painting all of them. One of them is 4 years old and other is 6 , i am amazed at how kids learn fast !. (more…)
