AUGUST EARNINGS BREAKDOWN USING ONLINE TOOLS TO SELL ART ONLINE
A lot of time Small Businesses online suffer and fall of the wagon when they have low sales. But I was compelled to share this month progress with other online digital sellers and small business owners in hope that this will somehow help other creative sellers like me .
In this post I will be sharing with you how I spent the month with THE low sales of the year time.I have been doing business online for a while now. But this summer had been the worst in terms of earnings but since there were not many sales to take care of I used the month of June for my own progress and spent most of the time learning a few tools and started integrating them in my own business.
There are two ways that you can face the “precieved failures ” . Either fight these times and take them as an opportunity of your growth or just kick it all goodbye. In the past as well I have shared with you some of my failed months but when i look back at them they were always there to teach me something. So How did this month go? Lets review.
Hired a Coach to get clarity ( FAILED Decision)
Since I had some time in my hands I joined some courses that helped me immensely to look into where I am going and what I am doing . I did hire a couch as well to help me pull through which turned out to be a really bad decision OR choice. Either way again an opportunity in disguise, this helped me clear out “Who NOT to hire as your coach! “. For us Artists there arent many coaches out there mainly because we are creative beings, we love to create art and already are stealing time from our busy life. This creative instinct helps us to move forward in our business but this also sometimes leads to frustrations when we are not able to see things moving forward.
For me the solution to turn my passion into biz involved learning new tech and then creatively twisting it to fit it into my own business using instinct and intuition.

I can not be happy more ! , this has been one of the best decisions that I have made to date. Terra of Uncork Your Dork Provides her heart out in a well managed and maintained subscription plan. Successfully increased sales of Etsy using a few apps and tools.
I was successful in finding a go to business tools usage plan and have it streamlined. Nailing it and found out the best combination that fit my need. The first app in this list is Planoly for instagram, FriendsPlusMe for sharing my content to Google plus communities, Etsy Marketing Tool to autoschedule to Etsy ( get a 14 day free trial if you use this link) , Tailwind (14 day trial if you use this link to signup) to Schedule to pinterest and last but not the least a little script iMacros for Chrome to automate tasks. I will try to write a detail on all of these tools and share my blue print with you soon.

There will be times when you will simply cant find a way to increase your sales. Although there are multiple factors involved and you can be working on each of them incrementally but then there are always times when you dont feel like doing your very obvious next step.
Reason for not working towards your obvious next step for business could be either you have a fear of facing the large task at hand, or you might feel bound by some tech issues OR you simply dont fieel in the ZONE to create something. So what do you do online that will also help you increase your overall sales?

Below is a list of the tasks that you can choose from and each is aligned towards your One Goal of Increasing Sales Online.
These tasks will come in handy if you have your own website selling anything online or you are selling your services or digital goods online. Even if you have a third party POD website or your own store, Self hosted or third party hosted store like etsy, zazzle or creative market.
Lets dig right in! But first a nice big stretch to get you outa that unable to move forward zone!
This one could be huge! I have been having tricking sales but then I created a few Pinable images of my products (2-3 images for the same landing page), and uploaded them to Pinterst using the upload pin feature.
Click on the PLUS ICON > CREATE PIN > UPLOAD IMAGE > ADD URL OF LANDING PAGE > PIN!!
here is the example images that are leading to either the same product or to the section of the product.
For product these images could include How to use your product, Tutorials that are step by step showing usage of your product or your product in action.
Similarly you can do the same for the same blog post. Create 2-3 images with different headlines that you can pin, these pins are leading to the same blog post but the headlines or text on pins could be different. Below you will see images created for the same product.
3-Find your most visited page of the blog and embed your newsletter signup form to it.
The tools that I recommend to create your newsletter and optin forms are
You can easily find out the most visited page from your google analytics dashboard. The page that is getting the most hits is the one you should be adding your signup form to first and foremost . Even when you dont have an enticing offer. But it is in your best interest that you create a juicy offer or optin that is good enough for a visitor to hand over their email address to you.
4- Pin your pins to various group boards
5 – Schedule your new pin to go out to different group boards
Ahhh… the glorious group boards ! you can search for top group boards through PINGROUPIE website OR another tip is to find a person who is either selling similar products as yours or have the same interest as yours.
Now check out which group boards they are posting to and then send out a request to join those group boards. Post regularly to these group boards this will for sure bring in some new eyeballs to your business.
6- Feed your Tailwind to Autopost your pins to different boards
Set some time aside each week to feed your Tailwind so you dont have to waste your time pinning images. For those of you who dont know Tailwind is a tool that I looooooove and recommend for helping you uplevel your pinterest and as a result increase your sales and traffic through pinterest.
7-Feed your boardbooster to loop pins from your popular boards.
I loved this little handy tool…. sadly it is no more available so just lets move on to the next to-do task.
8- Scroll through pinterest for inspiration and new ideas
I love spending time on pinterest, and sometimes you do need some inspiration to get you started. Keep in mind to set up a timer for you once you are browsing for inspiration and not get carried away wading through pages and pages without any track of time.
9- Create a new Trello board to record your new ideas add images to support that idea.
I love using Trello to plan and organize my business. Here is a screeshot of how I use to manage my ideas through Trello.
Although I use Boards to create content calendar , product delivery process and customer service too , thats a story for another day. Right now you can get browsin’ the WWW and gather some ideas and inspirations up in the relevant Lists inside Trello… easy peasy and handy!
I usually create a Main List inside the board where I can dump ideas as I go, I also like to add WHY I liked this idea. The reason why I do this extra step is that almost everytime when I return to my brain dump list, I almost everytime forget why I added it to Dump list in the first place.
Later I move the ideas to relevant category lists on the same board, mine are Art Prints , Products , Sticker ideas and similar while you can create whatever suits your need.
10- Give a deadlines to your top 3 ideas
This one is big! , by BIG I mean some fears will arise and probably they have been there for ages that is why you haven’t been able to accomplish the ideas or products. I have shared the Journal prompts workbook to overcome these fears of success which can be accessed in the tribe library as well.
But the simple step of committing to its completion using a visual deadline in your calendar takes you one step further in reaching your goal. I am so excited to be writing this post! , why ? because I know how much value this is going to bring you. If you have an etsy shop or you are thinking about opeing one OR wondering how to start an etsy shop .
Chances are you are struggling with driving traffic to your shop and etsy listings. I was once there… I used to struggle day in and day out and my etsy listings refused to show up in page one or even near that!
And then one day (actually it took years for me to figure it out) I was finally able to figure it out and was able to successfully bring my listings ranking on the first page.
I was blown away! so excited ! the whole world of SEO for Etsy seemed like a foreign language and a divinci code to me before that I wished I would finally figure out. But infact the whole thing is just a matter of a few tweaks. Today I am feeling excited being able to share this with you.

For your very basic understanding The skeleton of an etsy listing consists of the following parts
Now lets understand the importance of each of them.
The Etsy listing Title
Etsy provides a space for around 140 characters for you to create a title for the product. in order to create a traffic driving etsy title you can break it into 3 parts.
the middle and the rest
Do your long tail keyword research and place your long tail keyword in the very beginning of the title. A long tail keyword is a specific keyword that describes your product, it has a strong search potential on etsy and also on google and it comprises of 3 or more words.
for the middle and the rest you will place your OTHER keywords that also have strong search potential.
So your title could be something like this
Long Tail Keyword, 2nd Choice keyword, 3rd keyword, 4th keyword, 5 keyword, describing words for rest of space.

The description is the place where you will entice and grab your customers attention. Your customer has gone through a process and finally landed to your listing now it is upto you to sell your product. imagine you are walking into a store and a woman comes in front of you she is selling a scarf. How do you imagine she will approach you that you fall in love with the scarf enough to open up your wallet.
Here is a scenario
She walks up to you dangles the scarf in front of your eyes and goes on …..
“This scarf is made of wool, the thickness of the wool is perfect for a scarf and it took me 10 days to make it buy it”
She talks about “How this scarf will benefit you” “How this will help you keep the cold away” and “Why this purchase is going to be a good decision”
There you have it ! she sold you the scarf when she talked about YOU not How .
It is as simple as that.
Craft your description with an attention grabbing statement, followed by the problem provide a solution and then give a call to action.
We will be talking just about these parts of a perfect description in the coming posts.
OK , so now you are at the part which actually makes your shop show up in search results, The Tags!. Remember the perfect title that you crafted? take that title and write various tags out of it , various options and possibilities using the keywords used in the title and dont forget to add the descriptive words as well.
Etsy provides 10 images spaces to upload various photos. Use all of them! this does help in how healthy your etsy listing is . A picture is worth a thousand words use your photo space wisely and tell your story!
