Cheap gaming laptop deal Ryzen Gaming Laptop
Acer Nitro 5 15.6-inch gaming laptop | $699.99 at Amazon
The specs inside this machine may well make that wait worth it. There’s a massive 512GB SSD inside this machine, with a quad-core 9th generation i5 processor, 8GB RAM and GTX 1650 graphics on offer as well. That’s a configuration we rarely see at this price point.
Do bear in mind that I do not own this laptop myself partly because that I am more of a design oriented person and this review is solely for the gaming laptop if you are considering to buy one. I will be sharing links to where you can either get more info from or just get an idea for the overall decision making when purchasing your next machine. I am just going to save you a bit of time scouring the internet.
So ill be discussing two main elements of this specific Ryzer Gaming Laptop the screen and the keyboard as they are going to be our main focus.
$699.99 Ryzen Laptop Review
The Screen
The Screen is 15.6” 120Hz full HD (1920×1080) kind of what you expect in this price point. The screen itself is not that bright enough when I asked a couple of gamers who prefer a brighter one. For example if you are playing a game that requires tracking people of looking for gems and resources, you would really want screen to be a bit brighter.
Now this may work for some but not for me ! I would have liked to have a brighter screen but it is ok on the other hand because it is ok with the price this machine is available in which is great. Now the screen brightness and the contrast is not much of a big issue, maybe since I have an eye for graphic design this is something I am considering but oh well this can be forgiven not a problem.
The Keyboard and trackpad review for gaming
There are two points about keyboard that I will discuss the keyboards itself and then the trackpad so lets get on with it.
The Keyboard.
Just like the last years model this one is quite uncomfortable one, it is infact sort of the same as the last model. when it comes to playing with the WASD keys they are quite cramped together maybe because of the wrist support that could have helped. BUT having said that again maybe it is my own preference and might not matter to many. This might also differ for person to person depending upon their hand placement for me mostly I access keyboard right from the front . But if you are pressing them with shift keys this might become awkward positioning ofcourse.
The Trackpad
Again the WASD keys and a few more when being used the left hand comes over the track pad…. hmmm… not what I wanted and was keen on. You might want to disable it in order to enjoy the keyboard fully. I would have loved if the trackpad was towards a bit right as it is shifted to the left. But again this is my own point of view, your own usage might differ.
The Specifications
So now looking at the specifications you will be amazed with the features this has at this price point. below are some of the specifications as mentioned at the Amazon Store
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 4GB graphics (base: 1395MHz, Boost: 1560MHz, TDP: 50W)
- Quad-core AMD Ryzen 5 r5- 3550h processor
- 15.6” 120Hz full HD (1920×1080) IPS-type display
- 256GB NVMe SSD | 8GB DDR4 RAM | Windows 10 Home
- Gigabit wave 2 Wi-Fi 5 (802.11AC)
- Durable gaming laptop with MIL-STD-810 military standard construction
- Dual fans with anti-dust technology | RGB backlit Keyboard rated for 20-million keystroke durability
Additional Perks
You can two ram slots and you can add up another one yet the battery is small it is a 48 hour battery I would have loved to have a longer running one. Love the way the main power socket is at the back so you can keep the cables out of your path with ease.
